Ever since my father bought me a three transistor radio kit in 1965 when I was in the sixth grade I have been hooked on electronics. I graduated to Knight Kits, Heath Kits and do it your self projects out of books and magazines. I had many failures and some precious successes. I still wish I had kept the one tube super-regen receiver that I built from a 50's era Radio Electronics magazine that I had bought at a swap meet. After I graduated from college (BS. UCLA '77) I took the first job in electronics that I was offered and thought that

A) I was in HOG Heaven
B) I had hit some serious pay dirt!
